Donald Trump Makes Historic Choice, Selects Susie Wiles as First Female White House Chief of Staff

by Richard A Reagan

On November 7, President-elect Donald Trump named Susie Wiles, his 2024 campaign manager, as White House chief of staff

Wiles, a veteran political strategist and one of Trump’s closest advisers, will be the first woman to hold this position, having played key roles in Trump’s 2016, 2020, and 2024 campaigns.

“Susie Wiles just helped me achieve one of the greatest political victories in American history, and was an integral part of both my 2016 and 2020 successful campaigns,” Trump stated, praising Wiles’s dedication and strategic acumen.

“It is a well-deserved honor to have Susie as the first-ever female Chief of Staff in United States history. I have no doubt that she will make our country proud.”

Wiles, daughter of the late NFL broadcaster Pat Summerall, has deep roots in Republican politics. Her extensive career includes leading Trump’s Florida operations during the 2016 election and steering his campaign to victory in the 2024 election

Wiles has earned widespread respect and admiration within the GOP because of her tough, smart, and innovative approach.

Throughout the 2024 campaign, Wiles’s disciplined and strategic leadership became a key factor in Trump’s political resurgence.

On election night, Trump highlighted her efforts in his victory speech, describing her as the “ice maiden” for her preference to work behind the scenes while driving his campaign to success.

Trump allies were quick to voice support for Wiles’s new role.

Turning Point USA CEO Charlie Kirk expressed confidence in her abilities, calling her disciplined and smart, noting that she would “make an incredible Chief of Staff.”

Mark Miller, former chief of staff for South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, also praised her, recognizing her commitment to Trump’s campaign even during challenging times.

Wiles responded to the news with a statement on social media, affirming her readiness to serve.

“I’m ready to serve the great American people in whatever capacity I’m called upon to do so!” she wrote, showing her dedication to Trump’s mission and the country’s future.

With Wiles at the helm, Trump’s administration enters a new chapter.

However, the role of White House chief of staff has historically seen high turnover, with recent administrations experiencing frequent changes in this key position.

Trump, during his first term, saw four different chiefs of staff, and his upcoming administration will look to Wiles to bring stability to the role.

As the first woman to serve as White House chief of staff, Wiles’s appointment is already marked by historic significance.

For Trump and his supporters, her leadership is expected to continue the work of making America great again.
