It’s fair to say that many on the left are guilty of projection. They accuse those on the right of being violent and unhinged, when in fact they’re the ones fantasizing about violence against their opponents. And in many cases, such as at Antifa rallies, they act on those fantasies. But what kind of conflict do they really want?
The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) recently interviewed Haitian-Canadian author Ben Philippe, who described his fantasy of a race war: “When this race war hits its crescendo. I’ll gather you all into a beautifully decorated room under the pretense of unity. I’ll give a speech to civility and all the good times we share; I’ll smile as we raise glasses to your good, white health, while the detonator blinks under the table, knowing the exits are locked and the air vents filled with gas.”
That’s a beautiful reminder that when the left calls for unity, it doesn’t actually mean it. You can see that too with President Biden’s empty calls for unity, as he attempts to ram his agenda down our throats. But it’s also a reminder that, more than anything else, the left is attempting to use race to drive conflict in this country.
There’s no reason for anyone in this country to want to exterminate an entire group of people merely for the color of their skin. And you can bet your life that if that quote had come from a white author talking about exterminating blacks or Jews, we would have never heard the end of it from the mainstream media. But when a black person talks about genocide against whites? Crickets.
Don’t expect anyone in the mainstream media to stand up for you, or to hold to any sort of moral principles. The left has an agenda to push, and conservatives are in the way. But ignoring this problem, thinking it will go away eventually, or pretending it doesn’t exist are all recipes for disaster.
Philippe is a professor at Barnard College, indoctrinating the next generation of America’s elites. And there are hundreds, if not thousands, just like him doing the same thing. It’s up to us to push back vocally in the public sphere and on social media, and to educate our children, friends, and acquaintances about what could be coming down the pike. If we fail in that task and remain silent then we have only ourselves to blame when the next holocaust occurs.
