Political Violence and Hypocrisy: Calling Out Democrats

by Anthony Buckley

Over the past four years, Democrats were overcome by a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) that many still haven’t recovered from. All kindness and decency were thrown out the window when Democrats decided to oppose the Trump administration with everything they had. Anyone affiliated with Trump became fair game, as Cabinet officials and other Trump administration employees were harassed in public by restaurant owners, waiters, diners, and anyone else who didn’t like Trump.

As Maxine Waters (D-CA) said, “Let’s make sure we show up wherever we have to show up. And if you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. And you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere.” But what happens when the shoe is on the other foot?

We got to find out how ignorant and hypocritical Democrats are when an anti-Cuomo Twitter troll account quoted Waters, only replacing Trump’s name with Cuomo’s. The apoplectic responses from Democrats tripping over each other to virtue signal their alleged opposition to political violence was hilarious to see, as none of them seemed to recognize that the quote was a verbatim quote from Waters. And the mental gymnastics they resorted to in order to justify Waters and deny that they were hypocrites was similarly entertaining.

Democrats seem to have collective amnesia about the misdeeds of their own leaders, such as Chuck Schumer’s comments threatening the Supreme Court. But it’s a reminder that Democrats are incredibly dangerous to deal with because they are unable to be reasoned with. As the saying goes, you can’t reason someone out of a position they didn’t reason themselves into. And if you can’t reason with someone, force is the only option available.

That’s why Republicans will have to work overtime to get back into power, and then forget about being the nice guy. When your opponents are willing to use violence and harassment to get their way, then claim to be victims when their words are turned around on them, there’s no way to negotiate peacefully. Like it or not, Republicans will have to play like Democrats, not being gracious losers or winners, but rather playing hardball. Otherwise, the communists who infest the Democratic Party will roll over us and leave us in the dust.
