The Narrative Is So Transparent It’s Laughable

by Anthony Buckley

If you take a close look at mainstream media headlines today, you’ve probably noticed that shootings are in the news quite a bit. Every time two or more people are shot, it’s now being billed as a “mass shooting.”

Workplace violence, gang shootings, and nightlife disturbances are no longer being ignored, they’re being pushed to the front page, to make it seem like things are getting more violent in this country. It’s all part of a narrative that seeks to make it seem as though shootings are increasing. Look at some of the recent headlines this week that claim that 5 people were killed and 27 wounded in mass shootings over the weekend.

If you live in a small town, five people getting killed in a single weekend is certainly a lot. Heck, even in some larger cities that would be quite a bit. But in a nation of over 300 million people? And we’re supposed to believe that five people getting killed in so-called “mass shootings” is a spate of violence so severe that we need to turn in all of our guns? Please.

Looking at headlines and media coverage critically, you can see that the fix is in. The powers that be have decided that they want our guns, and they’re enlisting the media in an attempt to sway public opinion.

Thankfully most Americans with at least some common sense can see through this charade and understand what’s going on and what’s at stake. But there will be others, perhaps even people who should know better, who will be bamboozled by the press coverage.

That’s why it’s necessary for us to forcefully oppose gun control, spread the truth about gun ownership and the Second Amendment, and counter the propaganda wherever we see it. If we sit on our hands and think that we can survive by doing nothing, we’ll be sorely mistaken.
