Subpoena for the Bidens, We’re Putting a Case Together,’ Says Rep. Comer

by Richard A Reagan

After a relentless quest for accountability, the House Oversight Committee is planning to subpoena Joe and Hunter Biden. Leading the charge is Rep. James Comer (R-KY), Chairman of the House Oversight Committee. [Source]

Comer made an appearance on “Mornings with Maria” Thursday where he stated, “we’re putting a case together.”

“We’ve caught the Bidens red-handed,” Comer passionately remarked, hinting at the committee’s determination to shed light on the ongoing investigation into the Biden family’s business ties.

Comer continued, “We know that when we subpoena the Bidens, this matter will likely escalate to the courts. But it’s a necessary step to unveil the truth.”

The committee’s findings suggest that the Biden family and its associates have amassed around $20 million from foreign dealings, notably with countries such as Russia, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine.

Rep. Comer directly challenged the media to confront President Biden: “I wish the media would ask the president, ‘What exactly did your family do to receive the $20 million that the House Oversight Committee has documented?’ He simply responds with, ‘that’s a lie. That’s not true.’ We have their bank records, Maria. Bank records don’t lie.”

These records intensify the accusations that have long surrounded the Biden family. Last month, Devon Archer, Hunter Biden’s former business partner, indicated that Joe Biden had been informed of several business discussions, often being on speakerphone during these meetings. [Source]

However, the White House provides a contrasting view. White House spokesman Ian Sams expressed his concerns in a recent memo: “It’s the House Republicans who have repeatedly refused to release evidence that doesn’t support their selectively tailored narratives – including their continued refusal to release the transcript of a former FBI witness whose testimony apparently contradicted some key House Republican claims.” [Source]

Venturing further, Comer posed a pointed question to President Biden regarding why Russian oligarch and former Moscow first lady Yelena Baturina hasn’t faced sanctions after transferring $3.5 million in 2014 to Rosemont Seneca Thornton, a firm associated with Hunter Biden.

“When Russia took action against Ukraine, nearly every Russian oligarch faced sanctions, except the one who sent his family millions,” Comer observed with a blend of frustration and suspicion.

“This is a complex case, and we’re facing obstruction at every turn from the Department of Justice, the FBI, the Secret Service, the IRS, and the Biden family attorneys,” Comer concluded.

The outcome of this case is still uncertain, but the House Oversight Committee shows no signs of relenting in their investigation into the Biden family.
